About LogDepot Audio
The continuous recording audio logging can record in both a low bitrate streaming quality
(Windows Media Format) and in a high quality format (either MPEG Layer II or Linear PCM).
The low bitrate is coding is always used to browse and listen to the archive, so that load
on the network bandwidth remains restricted. The high quality coding is optionally available
on a per-channel basis.
The special LogDepot Audio ‘export module’ allows the transcending from the archived material
into several other audio formats, such as WMA, MPEG Layer II, MPEG Layer III (mp3) and linear WAV.
It can also convert Mono to Stereo and vice versa and it supports samplerate conversion (samplerates
from 8 to 48 kHz). The source for the transcode function can be taken from either the low bitrate
archive or (more likely) the high quality archive.
